Mommy's birthday gift

Carson decided to give Mom the BEST birthday present ever...he actually slept through the night last night. He went to bed a little before 8pm and slept until 6am. What a miracle that was! For those of you who don't know the whole sleep saga, Carson is our little insomniac child who has slept through the night, oh, maybe a grand total of 5 times now in his entire 14 and a half months on this earth. We knew Peyton was EXTREMELY abnormal in her sleeping habits, sleeping 8-10 hours a night at two weeks old, so we were expecting to have a not-so-great sleeper the second time around, but we had NO IDEA we'd get a little munchkin who just plain doesn't sleep AT ALL! I just keep telling myself...some day he'll sleep...he just HAS to! : )

Peyton doesn't quite get the whole birthday thing yet, but she thought it was hilarious when we sang happy birthday this morning. She kept laughing and saying "more, more", so we've sang it about...fifteen times already today. Ya just gotta love toddlers and their obsession with repetition. Since she's not really talking much yet she does the sign for "Music" when she wants to sing and then she'll start blowing (for birthday candles) to let me know which song she wants to sing. It's so fun to see how their little minds work!

Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope you're all having a good day...and you all got as good of a nights sleep as I did last night!
