A Perfect Day

Today was pretty much the perfect day. The weather was incredible. It was a Saturday, so no work, daycare, school or therapy appointments. The kids slept until 6:45am. That in itself pretty much made my day. We got to play with friends this morning - outside of course. We also went to the park for an hour and a half this afternoon. We had dinner at DQ. Yum!! Carson learned how to ride a big kid bike with training wheels (Peyton's). He also peed outside behind a tree for the first time. Exciting. We played outside until it got dark, then headed inside to lounge around until bedtime. Besides having to do naptime and bedtime by myself because Chad's gone, it was a great day. Oh, and we had a little poopy pants accident, too. But it was pretty mild - really.

Carson has finished up the week pretty well potty trained except for naps and overnight. But for having just started (seriously) on Monday, he's doing great. He's definitely a boy, though. He has to check out every bathroom about 100 times anytime we go somewhere. He magically started telling us he had to go potty when we made our first outing to Target this week. Prior to that we'd have to ask him every 45 minutes or so. He's only had 2 "real" accidents...the poopy one today and one other one a few days ago. The one he had while we were celebrating his first poopie on the pot doesn't count. We were celebrating...running around, yelling, calling Grandparents, giving out stickers and candy...he was distracted. So it doesn't count. And the one he had tonight while Grandma was tickling him...that one doesn't count either. Heck, if I was tickled that hard I'd pee my pants, too. :)

So, there you have it - a brief overview of our week and...the perfect day.
