A Great Helper

This week at church we're having Vacation Bible School. Chad is teaching the Bible Story time and I'm doing the Craft time. We've had about 150 kids each day so far, which is great...even though craft time with 60 preschoolers has been a bit interesting.

Today I had an extra helper on hand - our niece, Hope, came with to help out! She did such a great job!! Not only did she help hand out supplies and assist kids as we made OOOZING SLIME (our VBS theme is "Power Lab" - a science theme), she also entertained the kids when we had some down time by showing them how to spell her name in sign language. The kids thought that was great!!! Thanks for all your help, Hope! I hope you had as much fun hanging out today as I did today.

Hope & me

Hope being silly with her new friends, Natalie & Annie

Oh yeah -- "He's got the power! Everybody's talkin' bout His power! Look up, look down, look all around and you will see his power!"

My sister and I did the sonic sing & play and faith fusion finale (seriously? can't it just be opening & closing?)

Our church did the Power Lab this year, too...not as many kids, though! That is great. Glad you're having fun.

VBS is too cool, I enjoyed it tons as a child and now I get to pass something I loved on to my children as well!
