Tickets for 17 please ...

Last night we headed down to the Twins game with a bunch of friends from church and our neighborhood. We had 10 kids under age 6 and 7 adults. Being the thrifty people we are, everyone met at Burger King for their $1 Kid's Meal Tuesday night special, then we caravaned down to the dome. I decided the kids needed some fun signs, so I worked my Photoshop magic and created special "Circle Us Bert" signs. We had one big one on poster board that read, "Circle Us Bert! It's past our bedtime", then each of the kids had little signs that just read, "Circle Us Bert!" with Bert from Sesame Street (just a side note - the gloves are even autographed by Bert Blyleven...how spiffy is that??). The kids all thought the signs were super cool and Chad had a blast causing a scene with the big sign every chance he had. :) We didn't get circled, but that may have been because we were in the nosebleeds seats. Oh well, the kids each had a fun souvenir to take home with them. Peyton was thrilled to sit and eat kettle corn for the majority of the game, while Carson copied everything the guys in front of us were yelling...like "THROW IT BACK GUYS!!!" when the White Sox hit a homerun, and "C'mon!!". He'd also scream, "MOM, LOOK! It's CHUCK E. CHEESE!!!!" every time TC (the Twins mascot) came out on to the field. Then he informed me in the 6th inning, "Mom, I so tired from teering (cheering)". Pretty entertaining.

We were really impressed with how well the kids did - we lasted until after everyone sang "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" in the 7th inning, then headed out. We had a great time and can't wait to go to another game! Check out some of the pics from our mass exodus to the Twins game:
